Tour Summary

Day 1     : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to a hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2     : Visit Swoyambhu and Patan. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3     : Drive to Bandipur and visit Bandipur. Overnight in Bandipur.

Day 4     : Drive from Bandipur to Pokhara. In Pokhara visit International Mountain Museum, Tashiling Tibetan settlement and World Peace Stupa. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 5     : Drive to Sarangkot then hike to Nagdanda. After drive back to Pokhara and visit Bindavasini temple and boating on Fewa lake. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 6     : Drive to Chitwan and jungle activities. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 7     : Jungle activities for whole day. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 8     : Drive back to Kathmandu and visit Baudha Stupa. Overnight in Baudha.

Day 9     : Visit Pashupati temple. Then drive to Bhaktapur and visit the city and its temples. Overnight in Bhaktapur.

Tour Day by Day

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu. drive to a hotel.

Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, meet and greet with our representative. Then drive to your hotel and give a small briefing. Rest of the time is free. If you like, you can stroll in the ancient part of Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2

Visit Swoyambhu and Patan

After breakfast drive to Swoyambhu, one of the Buddhist stupas of Kathmandu valley that is situated in the west part of the city on the hill. This is one of the ancient stupas of Kathmandu that already existed in the 5th century. It is the most venerated Buddhist shrine by the indigenous people of the valley. Then drive to Patan, a city of art and artists. The city is ornated with lot of pagoda style temples and Buddhist monasteries dated back to the medieval period. The city is also known as a Buddhist town because the majority of the town’s population is follows Buddhism. There is a possibility to visit the living goddess of the city, Kumari. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3

Kathmandu to Bandipur

Early morning after breakfast drive to Bandipur. The drive will take approximately 5 hours. Lunch in Bandipur. Then visit a beautiful pedestrianized village. The village was created for commercial purpose in the 18th century by the people of Bhaktapur. This peaceful village is also adorned with pagoda style temples and a Buddhist monastery on the top of the hill from where we can have a magnifique vista of Himalayas and Marshyangdi valley on a clear day. Overnight in Bandipur.
Day 4

Bandipur to Pokhara

After 3 hours’ drive, we arrive in Pokhara. The city is well known for its natural beauty, splendid view of Himalaya and Fewa lake among the 7 lakes of the valley. Most of the trekkers halt in this city because most of the treks in Nepal start from here. So, the tourist area is occupied by lots of trekking shops. Gurungs are the indigenous people of this valley and famous for their role as the Gorkha army in the British regiment. Here we visit the International Mountain Museum, Tashiling Tibetan settlement and World Peace Stupa related to Nipponzin Myohogi school of Japanese Buddhism. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 5

Pokhara

We wake up early in the morning then drive to Sarangkot in an altitude of 1500m to see Himalayan panoramic view with sun rise rays. Then we’ll take our packed breakfast on the way for hiking. The hiking is almost in the same altitude and takes approximately 5 hours till Nagdanda. On a clear day, you will have a view of the Himalayas throughout your hike. Once we arrive in Nagdanda we take a vehicle to descend in Pokhara city and visit the Bindabasini temple. Then we have our lunch and boating for an hour. Then free time. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 6

Pokhara to Chitwan

Almost after four hours’ drive, we arrive in Chitwan. The valley of Chitwan, situated in the Siwalek or Churiya range, is known for its high cultivated land and UNESCO listed National Park. It is a habitat for the endangered one horn rhinoceroses and Bengal tigers. The park is also famous for ornithological tours because more than 500 varieties of birds are found in this site. The Tharu people are the indigenous people of this valley who have a very rich culture. Upon arrival in Chitwan we take our lunch and do jungle program according to the preparation by a hotel. Evening, it is possible to visit a Tharu village and have a typical Tharu cuisine with a Tharu family. Lunch and dinner are included. Overnight in Chitwan.
Day 7

Chitwan

The whole day we do jungle activities like Canoeing, Jungle walk, game drive, ornithological tour etc. In the evening there will be a possibility of Tharu cultural dance. Overnight in Chitwan.
Day 8

Chitwan to Kathmandu

After having a breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu for 5 to 6 hours. On arrival we take a lunch and visit Baudha Stupa and some monasteries related to Himalayan Buddhism. Baudha Stupa is the biggest stupa of Nepal. According to the legend associated to the origin of this stupa, the stupa is dated back to the 5th century. Tibetan traditional beliefs say the stupa belongs to the 7th century AD. Local people believe the stupa contains the relic of Kasyap Buddha (one of the human Buddhas before Shakyamuni Buddha). Overnight in Baudha, Kathmandu.
Day 9

Kathmandu to Bhaktapur

From Baudha we drive to Pashupati Temple, the pilgrimage site for Hindus from all over the world. We visit the temple from the exterior because the temple is reserved only for Hindu people. This temple is also known for its Ghat (open cremation site) on the bank of Bagmati river, the principal holy river that cross the valley. Then we drive to Bhaktapur, the city enriched in art and architecture of Kathmandu valley known as Newa Architecture which are still well preserved. The imbroglio narrow alley of this town gives an impression of the medieval period. Overnight in Bhaktapur.
Day 10

Drive from bhaktapur to airport for Departure

According to the flight time, we move from the hotel to reach the International Airport of Kathmandu 3 hours before your flight.
